The German Vice Chancellor is currently Robert Habek (German Green Party). He has spoken about rising anti-semitism in Germany and elsewhere following the attacks in Israel.

Vice Chancellor Habek said that Israel's security was essential for Germany as a country . It had been his grandparents generation who wanted to destroy Jewish life in Europe. After the holocaust, the founding of Israel was the promise of protection for the Jews.
Germanys historical responsibility means that Jews must now be able to live freely and safely in Germany, without being afraid to openly show their religion and culture. But it is precisely that fear which has returned. 80 years after the holocaust, Jews are now afraid to go to school or sports clubs , or wear the star of David, or get in a taxi. Jews feel despair and loneliness and cannot now go to certain places.
