Vehicle carrier vessel on fire North Sea

 There are multiple reports of a large vehicle carrier vessel on fire in the North Sea.   The vessel is reported to be the Panama registered Fremantle Highway . Details can be viewed on the Marine traffic App or website.  Marine Traffic says that the vessel location is 53° 38' 11.4" N, 005° 33' 51.5" E in the North Sea off the Dutch coast.  It was travelling from Bremerhaven , Germany to Port Said , Egypt which would have taken about a week.

Gcaptain website shows the vessel on fire. It and reports that of the 23 crew aboard,  1 crew sadly died and several are injured.  The crew have been removed from the ship or plucked from the sea by rescue services.   The ship carried 2857 vehicles of which 25 are electric cars.

AP News -  Dutch coastguard are working to save vessel from sinking.  Vessel is owned by Japenese Company Shoei Kisen Kaisha.

Google translates the Dutch in to English as : "The ship is still on fire. The recovery vessel Hunter has an emergency connection to the ship and thus keeps the ship in a controlled position. Several parties are working on a plan of action to limit the damage as much as possible."

Happened before ?
