Flood action week - Defra
The Dept of Environment , food and rural affairs (Defra) is holding a "Flood Action" week. This provides information about it being the wettest 10years ever with more storms as a result of climate change.. It Mentions the COP27 climate meeting currently taking place in Egypt which basically says global warming is all the fault of us rich Western countries burning fossil fuels and eating meat. COP27 wants to ban fossil fuels and farming. It expects people to move towards renting everything (including vehicles and even your clothing) rather than owning it. Also that the rich West should make reparations to the poor countries for our climate wrongdoings.
Back to the Defra site - it also mentions preparing a grab bag to include medicines in case you ever had to be evacuated from your home. You can check their maps to see your flood risk.
